STudio 501 Print Competition
Studio 501's Print Competition is a 12 day public viewing with judging event at the Cambridge Market in Cambridge, Wisconsin, showcasing images from novice to professional photographers both youth and adults.
We encourage everyone to participate in the FREE open call, including new, emerging and established photographers. Everyone can submit up to 4 images (one per category) for free.
Enter up to 1 image in each of the following categories

Prizes will be awarded to the top images in each category

Entry Overview
1. Anyone of any age can submit up to 4 images (one per category) for free to hello@studio-501.com - this includes student, amateur, professional and non-professional photographers.
2. Visit the image submission site here
3. Register online and submit your images. Within 24-48 hours you will receive an email confirming your accepted entry.
4. Please read carefully and agree to the entry rules in your confirmation email, including print size and mounting requirements. Want Studio 501 to do all the work? See FAQ below or entry rules on that process.
5. All physical prints must be delivered to Studio 501 (501 Blue Jay Way, Cambridge, WI) by May 16th, 2023.

That is up to you! You can stop by the viewing on opening night May 18th, or May 25th between 4-8 for judging or you can stop by during the Cambridge Market business hours between May 18-29 to see your work on display. If you don't have time that is okay! Studio 501 will be posting images on social media @studio501photogrpahy for you to view throughout the 12 days.
Do I have to be at the viewing?
Studio 501's print competition has 4 categories. You can submit up to 1 image per category - 4 images total for free.

What are the categories?
Digital approval is due May 11th, 2023
Studio 501 Print and Mount your image(s) is due May 11th, 2023
Physical images sent or dropped off to Studio 501 by May 16th, 2023
When is the final date to submit work?
Printing and mounting can be a lot of work, if you want to just email us your digital file (cropped to 8X10) we can print and mount for you. For $15 per print, Studio 501 will print your images to 8X10 and mount in an 11X14 white mat. Printing will be done through WHCC (White House Custom Color). If you send us a file that is not cropped to 8X10, we will crop the image to 8X10 while trying to still keep the essence of the image. Please have your images paid for and submitted by May 11th to have Studio 501 print and mount for you. Please submit work by May 11th for Studio 501 printing and mounting.
Can Studio 501 Print and Mount my images?
All images must be mounted. Display of your prints may be in the portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) format. Prints must be at least 7x10 inches excluding any mat or mounting. The maximum outer dimensions are 16x20 inches including any mat or mounting. If using a mat, color choice is your preference. The image will be judged on your image not your mat color. Physical prints must be dropped off or delivered to Studio 501 in Cambridge, WI by May 16th, 2023.
